A View from the Hudson Hotel is a collaboration between Glasgow-based photographer Ian Wilson and Manchester-based musician N. R. Whitaker.
A woman leaves her hotel room at The Hudson Hotel NYC and walks towards Grand Central Station. Once inside the station terminal, she checks her mobile phone while waiting for someone to arrive. At the end of the video, she is once again seen at the station before disappearing into the crowds.
Are the images that flash through her mind memories of a perfect time spent together in New York City, or is she simply reflecting on what might have been?
A View from the Hudson Hotel is an experiment in photographic and musical storytelling that raises as many questions as it answers.
