This new original piece by N. R. Whitaker is called Gratia Circulus (‘Circle of Grace’) as the different parts all repeat in a circle or cycle that rise up towards the end of the composition.

The photo is of a flock of cranes that the composer and his partner saw in North Germany with their German friends a couple of years ago. ‘The cranes are known for the graceful flight and they flew right over our heads in spectacular formation as they were migrating.’
