This original composition for solo piano by N. R. Whitaker called Nocturne #1 echoes some of the solo piano compositions of the Romantic Era while keeping firmly within the present age.
The photograph was taken by the composer in North Germany in 2018. As the sun begins to fade so the light of the moon gradually emerges.
